Out of an abundance of caution, the campus was immediately evacuated, and all classes and services were canceled for the remainder of the day.\n\nAs of 5:20 p.m., law enforcement has issued an all-clear.\n\nOfficers from the Allan Hancock College Police Department and the Santa Maria Police Department conducted a thorough sweep of all campus buildings and facilities. No evidence of any explosive device was found. The Santa Maria Police Department will continue to investigate the source of the threat.\n\n\"Allan Hancock College is deeply grateful to our students, employees, and community for their cooperation throughout today's incident,\" said Hancock Superintendent/President Kevin G. Walthers, Ph.D. \"The safety of our campus community is always our highest priority. We appreciate the swift and professional response of local law enforcement.\"\n\nAll Hancock classes and services will resume tomorrow morning (Nov. 25).\n\nThe college will continue to provide further updates and information as necessary.",
