Anyone who may have information regarding this incident is urged to contact MPD (911) or Augsburg DPS at 612-330-1717.\n\nReporting Suspicious Activity\n\nDPS is grateful to the members of the Augsburg community who promptly called 612-330-1717 to notify DPS of this incident. Please report any and all concerns that may impact our campus community. If You See Something – Say Something (612-330-1717). We also encourage you to utilize the resources available on our website: www.augsburg.edu/dps and in the CampusShield safety app (available for free download on Google Play and iTunes app store).\n\nSafety Tips\n\nKeep your head up and always be aware of your surroundings.\n\nDon’t leave valuables in your vehicle.\n\nNotify Augsburg Public Safety or the Minneapolis Police immediately of any suspicious or dangerous activity. Do not assume someone else will make a report.\n\nIf you are being harassed, go to a public place and ask someone to call Augsburg Public Safety or 911.\n\nDo not sit or walk with your phone/laptop out.\n\nIf approached in your vehicle by someone you do not know, do not open doors or roll down windows.\n\nBe aware of campus resources and support one another\n\nDisclaimer\n\nAugsburg University believes that physical descriptors alone are not a valid reason to profile or cast suspicion on any individual.  When physical descriptors are included in communication to the Augsburg community, it is done so because they may reasonably assist in identifying the perpetrator of the incident.  Augsburg University uses perceived race and gender descriptors that are provided about a suspect only when additional characteristics (beyond clothing) are also available.  Such descriptors are used in an attempt to provide the campus community with important information.  However, the University recognizes that race and gender are personal identity attributes that cannot always be accurately perceived by others, and that any reported information may not be accurate.",
