There is no ongoing threat to the College community.\n\nThe campus was subsequently closed for the remainder of the day to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, faculty, and staff. Normal operations will resume on Friday, October 17th.\n\n\"The safety of our students, faculty, and staff is always our highest priority,\" said Dr. Rick Bateman, Jr., Chancellor of Bossier Parish Community College. \"I'm proud of how our campus community responded today - with calm, cooperation, and trust in our safety procedures. I also want to express our deep gratitude to our Campus Police, Louisiana State Police, and local law enforcement for their swift and professional actions that kept our community safe.\"\n\nBPCC extends sincere appreciation to the Louisiana State Police, local law enforcement partners, and our Campus Police Department for their coordinated efforts.\n\nFor official updates, please refer to the College's website and verified social media channels.
