      "verbatimText": "Extreme Heat Warning - July 1-4, 2026\n\t\t\t \n\nThe National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning for the Boston area Wednesday, July 1 through Saturday, July 4. Temperatures are expected to be in the 90s-100s with high humidity making it feel even warmer. \n\nBoston University will open cooling centers for summer program students and others in the BU community seeking relief from the heat at the following locations. \n\nCooling Center Locations and Hours of Operation: \n\nQuestrom School of Business Lobby, 595 Commonwealth Avenue: 7AM-10PM - (Card Access Only July 3rd and 4th.) \n\nDuan Family Center for Data and Computing Sciences Lobby, 665 Commonwealth Avenue: 7AM-10PM (Card Access after 7PM) - Not Available July 4th. \n\nGeorge Sherman Union, 775 Commonwealth Avenue: 7AM-Midnight \n\n522 Park Drive Basement Lounge (South Campus Residents Only), 522 Park Drive: 24 hours - South Campus location is inaccessible for those with mobility impairments. Students with accessibility concerns should use the GSU location \n\nHoward Thurman Center for Common Ground Lobby, 808 Commonwealth Avenue: 9AM-5PM - Not Available July 3rd or 4th. \n\nBU students, faculty and staff are reminded to take precautions against heat-related illness or injuries. Physical activities or outside work should be limited when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.
