In both instances, the students' dorm rooms were unoccupied and left unlocked.  In both cases, laptops and iPads were stolen. A third student reported being in his room with the door slightly open, when three to four subjects partially opened the door.  When the individuals saw that the room was occupied, they did not enter the room and ran away in an unknown direction of travel.  The only description available is all the subjects were wearing masks, and one individual was wearing Nike Jordan sneakers and tight black jeans.  No students were threatened or injured.\n\nThis matter is under investigation by the Brown University Department of Public Safety & Emergency Management.
