      "verbatimText": "Someone stole debit/credit cards from offices in campus academic buildings Wednesday, April 10, according to Clemson University police.\n\nItems were taken from an unlocked office on the first floor of Rhodes Hall between 10 and 11:30 a.m.. Another theft occurred in an unlocked office on the first floor of Riggs Hall between 10:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. Another office in Riggs, on the third floor, was burglarized between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.\n\nPolice ask that anyone who may have information about these thefts or suspicious activity contact them at 864-656-2222. In the event of an emergency, please dial 911.\n\nPolice also provided these safety tips:\n\nSecure your residence, office and vehicle by locking all doors and windows.\n\n- Never leave your property unattended in a public space.\n\n- Secure all valuables when possible.\n\n- Do not let strangers into buildings that require secure access.\n\n- Report any suspicious activity or persons to the police immediately.\n\nIssued in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, a federal law originally known as the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act of 1990, that mandates timely notices to the campus community. The Clery Act is enforced by the U.S. Department of Education.",
