      "verbatimText": "Clemson officials continue to monitor winter weather moving into the area this evening and encourage all students, faculty and staff to be aware of rapidly changing conditions. Current forecasts project moderate to heavy precipitation as a mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain across the region, especially tonight through Sunday.\n\nIn preparation of deteriorating road conditions, Tiger Transit Nighttime Services will remain in operation until 1 a.m. Sunday, stopping early to ensure the safety of students, passengers, drivers and vehicles. The R-6 route will operate until midnight as scheduled.\n\nClemson Housing and Dining has confirmed Core Campus will open for breakfast at 8 a.m. (its regular hour) and Starbucks at Cooper Library will open as soon as possible.\n\nFacilities services has crews on call and heavy equipment in place for rapid response in anticipation of possible power outages.\n\nStudents, faculty and staff are encouraged to use caution when traveling this evening and throughout Sunday. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning, and forecasts precipitation rates will steadily diminish today. A lull is expected through late afternoon into the evening hours, and precipitation may break out once again overnight.\n\nOfficials are working with CUPD, CUFD and facilities, along with Pickens, Oconee, Anderson and Greenville County offices to determine extent of weather effects to roads and infrastructure. Another campus update is scheduled for 7 p.m. this evening.\n\nAny changes to schedules that affect final exams will be communicated as soon as possible.\n\nDINING\n\nClemson University Housing & Dining have several dining locations open today with a full list available here. Further updates can be found here.\n\nPARKING AND TRANSPORTATION\n\nCATbus operations are cancelled for this evening.       "verbatimText": "Pickens County government offices will open on a two-hour delay, Monday, Dec. 10. Therefore, Clemson University’s main campus will open at 10 a.m. Students, faculty and staff are urged to use caution while traveling to and from campus. Clemson officials report clear road conditions on campus this evening.\n\nDue to the delay in university opening, the Final Exam Schedule for Monday has been changed. Common exam times will also operate on the shifted schedule. New exam times are as listed below:\n\nScheduled Exam Times:          Delayed Exam Times:\n\n8 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.     now     10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\n\n11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.     now     1:30 p.m. – 4 p.m.\n\n3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.       now     5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.\n\n7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.       now     8:30 p.m. – 11 p.m.\n\nPARKING & TRANSPORTATION\n\nTiger Transit Overnight Service and the R-06 Routes will run this evening from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. All main campus routes will begin at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow, as will the Bridge Route to Tri-County Technical College and CATbus services.\n\nThe Research Park route will begin at 10 a.m.\n\nTiger Commute and School of Nursing will not run as the Greenville County offices are closed.\n\nFull information on parking and transportation is available HERE.\n\nHOUSING & DINING\n\nSeveral dining options remain open this evening, with a full list available @ClemsonDining. Employees should not enter leave requests for Monday until after the weather event and further guidance is provided by the Office of Human Resources. Employees are also encouraged to download and review Clemson University’s emergency closing policy and procedures.\n\nThe State of South Carolina Emergency Management Division provides the following information for state employees:\n\nFour sources of information regarding closings and delayed openings of county/state offices will be available:\n\n- Check South Carolina Educational Television and Radio. SCETV will broadcast a “crawl” showing the information and will announce it on SCETV radio. SCETV and SCETV radio will broadcast the information state-wide.\n\n- The information regarding closings and delayed openings will be posted to the SCEMD web site as quickly as it is received. Visit scemd.org/closings for updates.\n\n- The South Carolina Emergency Manager Mobile App. The S.C. Emergency Manager app is your personal emergency management tool that displays a complete list of all state and county government closings.\n\n- Check local commercial news media outlets. They typically broadcast, post on their web sites, and/or disseminate through social media any deviations from normal operations for county offices. That information applies to state agencies located in those counties.\n\nPlease do not call county emergency management offices for the information.
