      "verbatimText": "Clery Crime Alert\nBurglary\nOn Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at approximately 9:55 a.m. a Burglary occurred at 181 Claremont Avenue, at the\nMorningside Campus.\nA video review shows an individual randomly pressing the intercom in an attempt to gain entry. The individual waits\nin the vestibule until an unknown tenant enters and then “piggybacks” behind them into the building. Once inside of\nthe building, the individual removed one package. The individual was last seen walking south on Broadway from\nWest 125th Street.\nThe incident was reported to Columbia University Public Safety on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. If you have\nany additional information about this incident, please contact Public Safety at 212-854-2797.\nThe same individual committed a similar crime on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 5:20 a.m. at 181 Claremont Avenue\nat the Morningside Campus.\nThe individual is described as male presenting, with a medium complexion, wearing a black knit hat, white\nfacemask, white T-Shirt, brown sweatpants, black sneakers, and a blue winter jacket.\nSafety Tips\nDo not buzz people into a building unless you know who they are and what they are doing.\nPlease try to retrieve your package in a timely manner.\nDo not allow people to \"piggyback\" into a building with you.
