      "verbatimText": "Clery Crime Alert\nHate Crime - Intimidation\nColumbia University Public Safety was recently informed that on Friday, November 7, 2025, at around 9:50 a.m. an Intimidation incident occurred\non Broadway and West 116 Street. This incident is being investigated as a Hate Crime. A Columbia University student reported that while walking\nwith a friend on Broadway an unknown person approached them and made derogatory comments regarding their niqab. The student asked to be\nleft alone and attempted to walk away but the suspect followed them yelling more Islamophobic comments at the student.\nThe suspect is a female-presenting person with a light complexion and graying brown hair. They were wearing a jean jacket, a black skirt over a\npink flower-print skirt, black tights and pink shoes.\nNo other information is available currently.
