      "verbatimText": "Clery Crime Alert\nAttempted Robbery\nOn Sunday, August 18, 2024, at around 9:47 a.m. an attempted Robbery occurred at West 130th Street and\nBroadway, at the Manhattanville Campus.\n\nThe complainant, a non-affiliate, reported that they were walking south on Broadway at West 130th Street\nwhen two unknown persons approached from behind, displayed a firearm and demanded their property.\nThe complainant attempted to run but was grabbed and thrown to the ground. No property was taken. The\nsuspects fled East on West 130th Street and into the Manhattanville Houses.\n\nThe incident was reported to Columbia University’s Department of Public Safety on Sunday, August 18, 2024,\nat around 9:50 a.m. The police were notified of this incident. If you have any additional information about\nthis incident, please contact the Department of Public Safety at 212-853-3301.\n\nOne of the suspects was described by the complainant as male-presenting wearing a red hooded sweater,\nred sweatpants and red and white sneakers.\n\nThe second suspect was described by the complainant as male-presenting, wearing a black hooded sweater,\nblack sweatpants and black sneakers.\n\nNo other information is available at this time.\n\nSafety Tips\n· Be aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone.\n\n· Walk in groups whenever you can. There is always safety in numbers.\n\n· Stay alert and tuned in to your environment.
