      "verbatimText": "Clery Crime Alert\nBurglary\nOn Monday, April 28, 2025, at approximately 6:47 p.m. a Burglary occurred at 403 W 115th Street, at the Morningside Campus.\nA video review shows an individual randomly pressing the intercom in an attempt to gain entry. Once inside the building, the individual removed several items from\npackages, placed some into bags they were carrying, and stored others in a backpack taken from the lobby.\nThe individual was last seen entering the downtown side of  the MTA subway station at Broadway and West 116th Street.\nThe incident was reported to Columbia University Public Safety on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. If  you have any additional information about this incident,\nplease contact Public Safety at 212-854-2797.\nThe same individual committed a similar crime on Monday, April 28, 2025, at 4:26 p.m. at 604 W 115th Street at the Morningside Campus.\nThe individual is male presenting and appears to have a light complexion and a mustache. They were wearing a blue and orange baseball cap under a dark hood, a green\nscarf, a dark blue hoodie, a light-colored jacket with black stripes on the sleeves, light blue ripped jeans, white sneakers and were carrying a brown shoulder bag.\nSafety Tips\nDo not buzz people into a building unless you know who they are and what they are doing.\nPlease try to retrieve your package in a timely manner.\nDo not allow people to \"piggyback\" into a building with you.
