Two other individuals have been identified as being involved. Please visit FSU PD's social media page for additional information.\n\nIn an effort to provide timely and accurate information to our campus community, the following information is being provided so that you can make informed decisions regarding your safety.\n\nOver the course of the past week, FSUPD has seen an increase in thefts of e-bikes and e-scooters across campus. Most of the thefts involved e-scooters locked with either a cable or combination lock.\n\nAs a precautionary measure, we encourage all members of our campus community to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to campus security immediately. Anyone with information about these incidents is encouraged to contact FSUPD at (850) 644-1234.\nE-bikes and e-scooters are easy to steal because they are lightweight and compact. Traditional cable locks can be cut or tampered with using standard wire cutters, and e-scooters can be lifted through the locking mechanism. FSUPD recommends using a metal U-bolt style lock to secure these items so that they cannot be lifted through the lock.\n\nFSUPD recommends registering bicycles, e-bikes, and e-scooters via the SeminoleSAFE Mobile App or online at police.fsu.edu.\nThis Campus Safety Notice (Reference # 2025-02080065) is issued in accordance with a federal law requiring universities to disclose information about crime on or immediately adjacent to their campuses to aid in the prevention of similar crimes and to assist in the identification of offenders.",
