      "verbatimText": "Clery Act Safety Alert\n Off Campus Aggravated Assault\n\nIncident Date/Time: May 23, 2024, at approximately 11:10 PM\n\nIncident Location: Modera Midtown Apartments -95 8th Street NW\n\nIncident Description: Officers responded to a call regarding a person shot to the leg outside of Modera\nMidtown Apartments. According to that person, there was an exchange of gunfire between him and another\nmale who had fled the scene. A second male arrived at a nearby hospital a short time later with a gunshot\nwound to the shoulder. His involvement in the shooting is unknown at this time. The circumstances around\nthe shooting are unknown but both males have been detained. The males are not affiliated with the Institute\nand there are no threats to the campus.\n\nStatus of Investigation: This incident is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department. Report any\ninformation regarding this and other criminal incidents to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).\n\nSee Something, Say Something\nReport any information regarding this and other criminal incidents to the Georgia Tech Police Department\n(GTPD) by calling 404-894-2500 or by emailing crimetips@police.gatech.edu.
