      "verbatimText": "Clery Act Safety Alert\n Off Campus Shots Fired\n\nIncident Date/Time: July 30, 2024, at approximately 8:50 AM\n\nIncident Location: Northside Drive at 10th Street, near the BP Gas Station\n\nIncident Description: An officer patrolling Northside Drive near 10th Street heard shots fired and observed\ntwo vehicles stopped on the side of the road. Both vehicles fled the scene, but officers were able to stop and\ndetain the driver of one of the vehicles. The other vehicle continued northbound on Northside Drive away\nfrom the campus. The circumstances around the shooting are unknown at this time. There are no threats to\nthe campus.\n\nStatus of Investigation: This incident is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department. Report any\ninformation regarding this and other criminal incidents to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477).\n\nSee Something, Say Something\nReport any information regarding this and other criminal incidents to the Georgia Tech Police Department\n(GTPD) by calling 404-894-2500 or by emailing crimetips@police.gatech.edu.
