      "verbatimText": "Safety Bulletin: Individual In Custody for Burglary On Campus\n\nAt 5:37 a.m. on Sunday, October 12, the Lehigh University Police Department (LUPD) received a call from a Lehigh student residing at Alpha Phi sorority, 98 Upper Sayre Park Rd, who reported finding broken glass at the house. Officers arrived to find a back door forcibly opened. \n\nA search of the building revealed a male individual who was taken into custody. He was confirmed to be a non-Lehigh student. Our investigation revealed the individual has a connection to the house. The individual responsible was immediately taken into custody and there is no continuing threat to the community. LUPD prepared criminal charges in cooperation with the Northampton County District Attorney's office. Charges of Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, and Public Drunkenness have been filed. \n\nABM has responded to repair the door and other broken glass within the building.\n\nAs a general reminder, LUPD offers a number of safety resources, and the HawkWatch safety app allows you to make quick contact with our dispatchers.
