      "verbatimText": "Safety Bulletin: Microsoft outage impacting some Lehigh users\n\nA software update from cybersecurity company CrowdStrike has caused widespread global outages impacting Microsoft Windows devices beginning late Thursday and into this morning.\n\nWhat this means at Lehigh\n\nLehigh University emergency systems such as Campus Safety Dispatch remain in operation and are not impacted at this time. LTS has communicated information through email regarding impacts to Lehigh work systems, which we are also sharing through Hawkwatch in case some users are unable to access their email.\n\nIf your computer will not boot or function, do not attempt to take corrective action or download any recovery image. Please also leave your computer powered on. LTS is planning a response for the impacted PCs and will communicate future updates.\n\nLibrary and Technology Services has identified significant impact to our Windows servers and PC computers on campus. \n\nLTS has restored our central servers but Windows users may not be able to access their computers. Please refer to the LTS Status webpage (https://lehigh.statuspage.io/) for updates and any actions that may be required.\n\nIf you have technology questions, please contact the LTS Help Desk at (610) 758-4357 or by email at helpdesk@lehigh.edu.
