Remediation and air quality testing in the affected areas are progressing as planned. Any mercury that is or was present is being contained and removed.\n\nThe Environmental Health & Safety Department (EH&S) will provide those who were present in the affected areas and may have had a risk of acute exposure with specific resources and information. EH&S is also working with faculty/labs to determine a protocol for accessing laboratory materials or personal property that needs to be retrieved given the extended timeframe of the closure. \n\nFor all other members of the campus community, please continue to avoid the clear signage/caution-taped area. \n\nThe health and safety of our community and the environment are our highest priorities. We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve and remediate the conditions in Iacocca Hall. \n\nJason Schiffer\nAVP, Campus Safety\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAppArmor\n\r\nA Rave Mobile Safety Company\n\r\nCopyright © 2026, All Rights Reserved.\n\r\nTerms of Use | Privacy Policy",
