      "verbatimText": "Clery Crime Alert Attempted Auto Theft - LSC-Kingwood On Wednesday, January 23, 2019 between 11:48 a.m. and 3:40 p.m., an unidentified person allegedly attempted to steal a white GMC Sierra Pick-Up Truck that was parked on LSC-Kingwood campus in Parking Lot C. According to the vehicle's owner, no items were stolen from the vehicle. The vehicle's door lock was forcibly circumvented and the steering column was cracked in an attempt to start the car. There are no suspects at this time. If anyone has information related to this case, please contact Captain Edwin Gomez at 281-312-1409 or LSC Police Dispatch at 281- 290-5911. Precautions to help limit vehicle thefts include keeping your vehicle locked at all times, using a theft deterrent system, and not placing hideaway keys on the vehicle. Vehicle GPS tracking systems are also available to help police track vehicles when stolen.
