      "verbatimText": "Clery Crime Alert Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft LSC-Victory Center On Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at approximately 4:20 p.m., a witness observed two subjects peering into a black 2007 Toyota Corolla and then observed one of the subjects shooting the driver side window with a pellet gun. Before entering the vehicle, the subjects realized there was a witness and fled into nearby woods. The two subjects appeared to be males wearing black hoodies, black pants, and “Chuck Taylor” style sneakers. No other description is available. No video is available of this incident. The responding officer was able to confirm the weapon used was a pellet gun. LSC Police is actively investigating this case. If anyone has information related to this attempted vehicle theft, please call Sergeant Lynch at 281-765-7853 or LSC Police Dispatch at 281-290-5911. Crime Prevention Tip: Vehicle Theft is a problem crime in the Houston area. Precautions to help limit vehicle thefts include keeping your vehicle locked at all times, using a theft deterrent system, and not placing hideaway keys on the vehicle. Vehicle GPS tracking systems are also available on the market to help police track vehicles when stolen.
