"verbatimText": "Nu Delta fraternity, which is located at 460 Beacon Street, Boston was burglarized at approximately 11:30AM on Sunday, August 27, 2017.\n\nThe reporting party described the suspect as a male, white, approximately 5'9\" tall, with tattoos on his arm (possibly right arm), with brown hair and facial hair (goatee style), wearing a dark gray short sleeve shirt and dark gray pants.\n\nA resident of Nu Delta fraternity reported that he encountered an unknown male suspect in the basement. The suspect stated that he was \"a contractor there to fix the wall\". After a brief conversation, the suspect then indicated he was actually doing work next door. The suspect subsequently left the fraternity out the back door. It could not be confirmed that any work was going on in the residence or the next door residence. The reporting party later discovered that a smart TV and laptop were missing from the residence.\n\nSuggestions: In order to protect yourself and your belongings from theft and/or facilitate the recovery of your stolen property, MIT Police encourage you to follow these tips:\n\n\t- ALWAYS lock your doors and windows.\n\n\t- Please don't prop doors open and report tailgaters.\n\n\t- Document serial numbers of all electronics and take pictures of all valuables. Keep this in a safe place to provide to the police in the event you are burglarized.\n\n\t- Be watchful: See Something = Say Something. Call the MIT Police immediately at 617-253-1212.\n\n\t- Get your laptop tagged! Laptop tagging and registration is a free service for MIT community members. It's offered by Information Systems & Technology (IS&T), with the support of the MIT Police. The next laptop tagging event is on September 5, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Computing @ MIT event in the lobby of the Zesiger Sports and Fitness Center (W35).\n\n\t- Immediately notify the MIT Police at 617-253-1212 or 100 from any campus phone if you believe a crime is occurring, has occurred, or is about to occur.\n\n\tThe MIT Police want to remind the MIT community that we are located in an urban setting and share many of the crime and safety issues that exist in any city.\n\n\tThe MIT Police are investigating these crimes and request the assistance from the MIT community.
