      "verbatimText": "On the afternoon of March 2, 2020, a report was made to the MIT Police concerning a burglary in building 64, a residence hall located at 3 Ames Street in Cambridge. The reporting party stated that she had a locked cash box and cash box key in her room from an event the previous evening. The reporting party stated that currency was removed from the cash box and was missing. The theft occurred sometime between 1:00 AM and 10:30 AM on Monday March 2, 2020. There were no signs of forced entry.\n\nThere is no suspect description at this time.\n\nWhile victims of crimes are never to blame for criminal activity, there are some precautions that can be taken. In order to protect yourself and your belongings from theft and/or facilitate the recovery of your stolen property, MIT Police encourage you to follow these tips:\n\n\t- See Something - Say Something: Immediately notify the MIT Police at 617-253-1212 or 100 from any campus phone if you believe a crime is occurring, has occurred, or is about to occur.\n\n\t- Always lock your doors and windows both on campus and at your residence. Assure that locks are in good working condition.\n\n\t- Never leave valuables at your desk or out in the open when you are not in the area.\n\n\t- Lock your office or residential door if you are leaving (even if only for a minute or two)\n\n\t- Report suspicious people or activity. Report all tailgaters.\n\n\tThe MIT Police want to remind the MIT community that we are located in an urban setting and share many of the crime and safety issues that exist in any city.\n\n\tThe MIT Police are investigating this crime and request the assistance from the MIT community.
