      "verbatimText": "NYU Clery Campus Notice\n\nRobbery\n\nOn Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, the Department of Campus Safety received a report of a robbery that occurred at approximately 1:34 p.m., on Mercer Street between Waverly Place and Washington Place, in Manhattan.\n\nThe victim, an NYU employee, was walking south on Mercer Street towards Washington Place when four unknown individuals approached the victim from behind and attempted to snatch the victim's wallet out of their back right pocket, ripping the victim's jeans. Once the suspects gained possession of the victim's wallet, one of the suspects struck the victim in the face and the suspects fled north on Mercer Street turning left on Waverly Place in the direction of the park. \n\nThe victim reported no physical injuries that required medical attention and was offered supportive resources. The robbery was reported to the NYPD, which is actively investigating the matter. \n\nBelow are photos of the individuals who are believed to have carried out the robbery. \n\nIf you have any additional information about this incident or the individuals believed to be involved, please contact the NYPD at 1(800) 577-TIPS and NYU Campus Safety at (212) 998-2222.\n\nPlease Remember These Safety Tips:\n\nBe aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone.\nWalk in groups whenever you can.
