      "verbatimText": "We are sharing this news on behalf of the Columbus Division of Police for a crime that occurred in the off-campus area:\nOn 4/22/17, at approximately 1:10 a.m., Columbus Police responded to a report of an armed robbery on Summit Street between E. 14th Ave and E. 15th Ave. Reports indicate two female Ohio State students were approached by an unknown male with a handgun who demanded their purses. He then fled with their belongings in an unknown direction.\nThe suspect is described as a skinny, 22 to 25 year old male, standing 5'8\" to 5'9\" with brown hair, wearing a gray sweatshirt. \nColumbus Police is actively investigating and we encourage anyone with information related to this crime to call CPD at 614-645-4545. CPD and University Police will have increased patrols in the campus area and we encourage everyone to take extra precautions.\nBecoming the victim of a crime is no one's fault. We remind you to increase your overall safety by being cautious and looking out for one another; being aware of your surroundings and looking assertive; walking with a trusted friend or co-worker, when possible; if a situation makes you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, choose an alternative.
