The victim reported that the actor was an acquaintance. If you find yourself in a similar situation, or one in which you feel you are in danger, call a friend, a family member, or the police immediately. If you have been the victim of a sexual assault and do not wish to report it to police, you may contact Tanya Berfield, Title IX coordinator for sexual misconduct issues, at 570-320-5228 or the Crisis Hotline anonymously at 1-800-326-8483 for help and support. You have the right to have any allegations of sexual assault investigated and adjudicated by the appropriate campus, civil, and criminal authorities. If you choose to call the police for help, it is your decision whether to have it investigated.
