      "verbatimText": "Off Campus Shooting\n\nWednesday, September 28, 2022\n\nShots were fired at a Penn College Police officer who responded to a call regarding a disturbance in the 1000 block of Vine Avenue in Williamsport around 12:09 p.m. today. The officer was not struck, though one errant round hit the officer's police cruiser and at least one other struck the facade of The Village at Penn College residence hall nearby. No one was injured during the incident.\n\nThe suspect, who is not a student, was taken into custody a short time later. There is no ongoing threat to Penn College students or employees or to the local community. Police continue to investigate the incident this afternoon. Please avoid the area during this time so as not to interfere with their investigation.\n\nAny student or employee needing counseling as a result of the incident may contact Counseling Services at 570-327-4765 or counseling@pct.edu.",
