      "verbatimText": "Attempted Purse Snatching \n\nA 19-year-old student reported to Penn College police that a male attempted to take her purse in the 1100 block of W. 3rd Street, just west of the Academic Center on Thursday, August 20 between 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m. The student reported she was approached by a black male in his 30's wearing dark-colored clothing and he had a dew rag on top of his head. She reported that another male came to her assistance and the suspect ran north towards Vine Avenue.\n\nCollege Police are asking for the person who assisted the victim or anyone else who may have observed this incident occur yesterday afternoon to contact Penn College Police at 570-321-5555.\n\nPenn College Police remind everyone that if you see something or someone that is suspicious, witness a crime or if you are a victim of crime to call the police immediately.",
