      "verbatimText": "Crime Alert: Attempted Robbery of Student Off Campus\nJanuary 19, 2010\n\nAn attempted robbery of a Pennsylvania College of Technology student occurred off campus Tuesday evening in Williamsport.\n\nThe student was walking near the intersection of West Fourth and Grier streets about 6:30 p.m., when a man grabbed the student's backpack and attempted to steal it. The student was able to fend off the assailant, who is described as black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, in his 30s, with a grayish goatee, wearing a black Carhart jacket, bluejeans and black shoes with a hood pulled over his head. He was last seen running north on Grier Street. The student was unharmed and did not require medical treatment.\n\nThe Williamsport Bureau of Police is investigating the incident. Anyone with further information is urged to call Williamsport Police at (570) 327-7560 or Penn College Police at (570) 321-5555.",
