      "verbatimText": "Due to inclement weather and intermittent road-closures, Pepperdine officials have cancelled classes on the Malibu campus Friday afternoon, January 20, 2017. All other campuses remain open and classes are in session at this time. Staff are also released except for Critical Support Personnel. Staff departing campus should coordinate with their supervisors. Currently the following routes to campus are closed: - PCH south of campus from the Getty Villa to Sunset - Malibu Canyon - Topanga Canyon We are expecting large storms this weekend and may have further road closures on Monday morning. As conditions change, updates will be available on the University’s Road conditions hotline (310) 506-ROAD (7623).",
