      "verbatimText": "Due to inclement weather, intermittent power outages, and intermittent road closures, Pepperdine officials have cancelled classes and closed the Malibu and Calabasas campuses at 3:30 PM on Friday, February 17, 2017 for the remainder of the day. All other campuses remain open and classes are to be held as scheduled. Malibu and Calabasas campus staff are also released except for Critical Support Personnel. Staff departing campus should coordinate with their supervisors. Currently the following routes to campus are impacted: - Malibu Canyon has been closed intermittently as the county clears debris As conditions change, updates will be available on the University’s Road conditions hotline (310) 506-ROAD (7623) and the University’s Emergency Information Page, http://emergency.pepperdine.edu.",
