The National Weather Service office in San Diego warned of “dangerous and potentially catastrophic” flooding in the mountains and deserts. As of now, there are no reports of flooding at SDSU locations. SDSU and SDSU Imperial Valley remain open, and a list of canceled or postponed events , as well as temprarily closed facilities , is listed below, along with other SDSU and SDSU Imperial Valley Information. Also, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, Gov. Gavin Newsom has issued a state of emergency for much of Southern California to support Hurricane Hilary response and recovery efforts.",
