      "verbatimText": "March 14, 2025\n\nSpelman Community,\n\nWith severe storms and tornadoes expected to cross Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas Saturday evening into Sunday morning, we are urging each of you to be cautious and to be prepared.\n\nPlease monitor local news reports regarding weather and conditions in your area. Be sure to heed the warnings and guidance of local emergency authorities as needed and to follow the tips listed below.\n\nDining services will tentatively operate on a brunch schedule starting at 10 a.m. with dinner served at 4 p.m. Should the campus close due to inclement weather, dining services will continue to follow the brunch schedule to ensure meal access for students. For on-campus residential students, Spelman College Housing will provide specific guidance regarding accommodations and support.\n\nWe will continue to monitor weather conditions and will update the campus community with any changes.
