      "verbatimText": "On Sunday, Oct. 31, at approximately 2:52 a.m., an individual, with no affiliation to the University, was reportedly assaulted by a group of young teenagers, also not affiliated with the University. The incident occurred in the area of Ostrom and Euclid Avenues. The victim reported that, during the assault, one of the suspects displayed what appeared to be a small black handgun. The suspects fled the area on foot and were last seen heading eastbound on Euclid Avenue. No injuries were reported.\n\nOther than the suspects being described as young male teenagers, there is no further identifiable information at this time.\n\nThe Syracuse Police Department and the Department of Public Safety are actively reviewing security camera footage. The investigation is active and ongoing.\n\nIf you were in the vicinity at the time and witnessed the incident, please contact the Syracuse Police Department at 315.442.5222 or the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety at 315.443.2224.
