      "verbatimText": "On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at approximately 3 a.m., the Department of Public Safety (DPS) received a report of a sexual assault. The student reported that the assault occurred near the Thornden Park amphitheater on Monday, April 25 around 8:30 p.m. According to the student, the suspect, an unknown male, approached and grabbed the student, then told the student not to scream because he had a weapon. The suspect then proceeded to forcibly touch the student before fleeing the scene.\n\nThe suspect is described as a male, approximately 40 years old, wearing a black sweatshirt and black ski mask.\n\nDPS has turned over the investigation to the Syracuse Police Department (SPD) and both agencies will be working collaboratively on this case. If you were in the vicinity at the time and witnessed the incident, please contact SPD at 315.442.5222 or DPS at 315.443.2224.
