      "verbatimText": "Tulane University Police Department\n\nDowntown District - Aggravated Assault\n\nContent Warning: The following narrative references an incident of aggravated\nassault.\n\nDATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: Approximately 11:00pm August 19, 2022\n\nLOCATION: Public Property, 300 Block of LaSalle\n\nREPORTED OFFENSE: Aggravated Assault\n\nSUSPECT’S DESCRIPTION: Unknown, driving a gray sedan.\n\nAt approximately 11:00pm TUPD officers became aware of a shooting which\noccurred in the300 block of LaSalle Street on the Downtown Campus.Officers\nresponded and discovered 2 non-affiliated victims had been shot.No description of\nthe perpertrator(s) was available other than driving a gray sedan.The described\nvehicle fled down LaSalle to Gravier. No further information was available at the\ntime of report.\n\nThe subject is unknown to the victims and has not been identified at this time.\n\nBased on the information provided by the victim or witness, the following crimes\nhave been identified as reportable under the definitions provided by the Clery Act:\nAggravated Assault\n\nThe Clery Ac trequires Tulane University to provide safety tips when issuing Crime\nAlerts. The following are suggestions relative to the criminal incident described in\nthis alert:\n\n   •   Trust your instincts. If you feel that you may be in danger, seek out others,\n       local law enforcement, or an open Tulane facility that has Campus Safety\n       Officers posted.\n   •   Be aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone.\n   •   If you feel threatened contact TUPD at 504.988.5555 or call 911\n\nINVESTIGATION ONGOING:\nIf you have any information about these crimes, call TUPD at 504-865-5381 or\nNOPD at 504-821-2222.\n\n*Descriptions provided by victim/witness.
