      "verbatimText": "Subject: Safety Notice – Armed Robbery (Carjacking) Offense: Armed Robbery (Carjacking) Date: January 13, 2023\n\nContent Warning: This notification includes information related to an armed robbery.\n\nAt approximately 3:33 am on Friday January 13, 2023, the Tulane Police Department learned that a student had been the victim of an armed robbery at the intersection of Broadway and Birch. The victim parked their vehicle outside their residence when an unknown vehicle, a black Infiniti SUV, pulled in close behind. Two subjects exited brandishing firearms and demanding money. The victim tossed property on the ground and ran inside the residence. One of the subjects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle while the other returned to the Infiniti SUV.\n\nThe victim’s vehicle is a black Honda Accord. The subjects were described as two black males approximately 23 years of age wearing masks and black hoodies.\n\nPlease Remember These Safety Tips: • Carjacking offenses are crimes of opportunity. • Be aware of your surroundings at all times even in areas or places you feel safe. • Beware of individuals approaching your vehicle. • Always park in a well-lit area.\n\nIf you have any additional information related to this individual, please contact either the Tulane University Police Department or the New Orleans Police Department.\n\nFor Counseling and other Supportive Measures, click here.\n\nTo learn more about campus safety services and programs, click here.",
