      "verbatimText": "A precautionary boil water advisory remains in effect for the entire East Bank of New Orleans which includes Tulane’s Uptown and Downtown campuses. We will advise when the advisory has been lifted. Please boil any water prior to consumption free standing water jugs are ok to use but do not use water fountains. For more information go to: https://www.swbno.org/\n\nThe Sewerage & Water Board issued a precautionary boil water advisory for the East bank of New Orleans, due to a drop in water pressure.\n\nDon’t consume tap water\n\nUse bottled or boiled water to drink, cook, brush teeth, and mix baby formula.\n\nWash fruits and vegetables with bottled or boiled water.\n\nDon’t use ice from ice trays or ice makers. Make new ice with bottled or boiled water.\n\nTo be safe, give your pets bottled or boiled water.\n\nBe careful bathing If you’re a healthy adult, you can bathe or shower with tap water. Be careful not to swallow any water.\n\nGive babies and young children a sponge bath or use boiled water to bathe.\n\nIf you have open wounds or a weakened immune system, use boiled water to bathe.\n\nUse hand sanitizer after washing hands.\n\nTake care cleaning\n\nWash countertops and tables with boiled water.\n\nUse a rinse temperature of 150° F or a sanitize cycle on your dishwasher.\n\nWash dishes by hand as usual. Then soak in mixture of 1 gallon of water and 1 teaspoon of bleach for 1 minute.\n\nDo laundry as usual.\n\nBoil water safely Heat water until large bubbles come from the bottom to the top of the pot.\n\nLet the water boil for at least 1 minute.\n\nTurn off the stove and let the water cool.\n\nStore the water in a clean container with a cover.\n\nAdd a pinch of salt and shake to improve the taste.\n\nIf you have any questions, please contact the Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response at emergencyprep@tulane.edu",
