A door to\nthe burglarized building was compromised and interior of the building was ransacked. Similar potential crimes were\nreported within the block recently.\n\nThe Clery Act requires Tulane University to provide safety tips when issuing Crime Alerts. The\nfollowing are suggestions relative to the criminal incident described in this alert:\n • Trust your instincts. If you feel that you may be in danger, seek out others, local law\n enforcement, or an open Tulane facility that has Campus Safety Officers posted.\n • Be aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone.\n • Avoid individuals who don’t respect you, ignore personal boundaries, make you feel guilty,\n or are aggressive.\n • Let a trusted friend or contact know when you are meeting a new person and if that person\n begins making you uncomfortable.\n • Try not to walk alone during late-night hours. Walk in groups, whenever you can, there is\n always safety in numbers.\n\nIf you have experienced sexual misconduct or think you may have experienced it, help is\navailable. It is not your fault, and there are resources on campus and in the community to provide\nsupport and help you heal.
