As the\nvictim passed the subject who was seated at a table he started to walk with the victim,\nshortly thereafter he advised the victim that they had an insect on them and slapped\nthe victim on the buttocks. The victim proceeded to an on-campus residence and\nnotified TUPD.\nThe subject was observed on CCTV leaving campus to unknown.\n\nThe subject is unknown to the victim and has not been identified at this time.\n\nBased on the information provided by the victim or witness, the following crimes\nhave been identified as reportable under the definitions provided by the Clery\nAct: Fondling.\n\nThe Clery Act requires Tulane University to provide safety tips when issuing Crime\nAlerts. The following are suggestions relative to the criminal incident described in\nthis alert:\n • Trust your instincts. If you feel that you may be in danger, seek out others,\n local law enforcement, or an open Tulane facility that has Campus Safety\n Officers posted.\n • Be aware of your surroundings, especially when walking alone.\n\n • Avoid individuals who don’t respect you, ignore personal boundaries, make\n you feel guilty, or are aggressive.\n • Let a trusted friend or contact know when you are meeting a new person and\n if that person begins making you uncomfortable.\n • Try not to walk alone during late-night hours. Walk in groups, whenever you\n can, there is always safety in numbers.\n • Always seek affirmative consent before touching another individual.\n\nIf you have experienced sexual misconduct or think you may have experienced\nit, help is available.
