      "verbatimText": "Tulane University Police Department\n\nSubject: Timely Warning – Sexual Assault UPTOWN CAMPUS Offense: Sexual Assault Date: February 22, 2025\n\nContent Warning: The following narrative references a Sexual Assault\n\nDATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: February 22, 2025\n\nLOCATION: Undergraduate Residence Hall on the Uptown Campus\n\nREPORTED OFFENSE: The victim reports meeting the suspect, who is not affiliated to Tulane, at a local bar. The suspect asked the victim to show him around campus. The suspect then asked to see the victim’s room. Once inside the room, the suspect sexually assaulted the victim.\n\nPERPETRATOR’S DESCRIPTION: The suspect is described as a white male, around 21 years old, with a thick possibly Irish accent.\n\nINVESTIGATION ONGOING: If you have any information about these crimes, call TUPD at 504-865-5381 or NOPD at 504-821-2222.\n\nTAKE A STAND AGAINST CRIME 1. BE AWARE of your surroundings at all times. 2. REPORT suspicious activity immediately. 3. BE A GOOD WITNESS. Describe exactly what you observe with as many details as possible. Give complete descriptions such as sex, race, height, weight, hair color, clothing, etc. 4. If something feels off, trust your gut. Leave a situation or place if you feel unsafe, even if you can’t immediately pinpoint why. 5. Be mindful of who you communicate with online, and avoid meeting strangers in isolated or private spaces without telling someone where you’ll be. 6. If you’re in immediate danger, don’t hesitate to call for help.
