Villere, near the LaSalle Garage\n\nReported Offense: On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at approximately 7:40 a.m., the victim was walking in the 200 block of S. Villere, on the downtown campus, when the suspect, who was walking behind her, stated he had a gun. The victim reports turning around and seeing the suspect reach towards his waistband. The victim was able to flee the area. The victim was not able to determine whether the suspect did have a weapon or not.\n\nSuspect's Description: The suspect is described as a thin black male, about 5'7\"-5'8,\" wearing a red and black checkered flannel shirt, black shoes, and jeans.\n\nINVESTIGATION ONGOING: If you have any information about these crimes, call TUPD at 504-865-5381 or NOPD at 504-821-2222.\n\n*Descriptions provided by victim/witness.
