University Blvd. (University Blvd. / 2nd Ave.)\nReported to: Tucson Police Department\nCase Number: 2012010113 & 2012050126\nThe University of Arizona Police Department\nCase Number: U2012010008\nThe University of Arizona Police Department is issuing this Clery Timely Warning to notify the campus community of a safety issue involving crimes against persons that have recently occurred near the main campus.\nThe Tucson Police Department has advised the University of Arizona Police that it is investigating two separate sexual molestation cases near the University of Arizona campus.\nThe first incident occurred on December 1, 2020 near North Campbell Blvd. and Elm Street, across from Banner University Medical Center.\nThe female pedestrian said that, while walking, she was fondled by an unknown male who was described as:\n- Black, in his 30’s\n- Approximately 5’5”-5’7”\n- Short hair (almost bald head)\n- Wearing sunglasses, a black hat, black facemask, black shirt, and grey jeans with a brown sweater tied around his waist.\nThe second incident occurred on December 5, 2020. In this case, a female pedestrian reported being molested while walking in the area of University Blvd. and 2nd Ave.\nThe female victim described the suspect as:\n- Black male in his 30’s\n- Approximately 5’5”-5’7”\n- Wearing sunglasses, earrings, a beanie style hat, baggy shirt, and jeans.\nThe descriptions of the suspects in the two incidents are similar and may be related. The suspect(s) have not been identified. The investigations are ongoing by the Tucson Police Department.\nSafety Tips\n- Trust your instincts. If you sense trouble, get away as soon as possible.\n- Remain alert and observe people around you. Walk with your head up, avoid carrying many items, show confidence while walking, and know your destination.\n- If possible, have your phone ready and know where you are at all times.\n- Utilize Cat Tran or Night Cat.\n- Call ASUA Safe Ride at 621-7233 for a free ride on campus.\n- Call UAPD at 520-621-UAPD (8273) for an escort from a police officer or a police aide.\n- Make mental notes of a suspect’s race, age, sex, height, weight, hair, and eye color, build, and clothing. Note anything unusual about the suspect, such as scars, tattoos, strange mannerisms, or speech patterns.\n- When you feel safe, CALL 9-1-1 immediately.\n- Download the LiveSafe app.",
