      "verbatimText": "January 2, 2021\nSecurity Bulletin 01/01/21: Home Invasion in Off-Campus Neighborhood\nThe Ann Arbor Police Department is investigating a home invasion that occurred at an off-campus home on Church St. on December 31, 2020, at around 6:30 a.m.\nA resident of the off-campus home reported hearing a loud noise in the home. Upon investigation, the resident reported seeing someone exit out of a window in the home.\nThe suspect is described as an unknown male wearing blue jeans and brown work boots.\nIf you have information, please contact the Ann Arbor Police Department Tip Line (734) 794-6939 or tips@a2gov.org.\nRegardless of whether you’re living on or off the University of Michigan campus, everyone should take a proactive approach to secure their residence. DPSS strongly encourages you to:\nKeep your windows and doors locked\nTurn on exterior lights at night\nClose blinds at night and keep doorwall security bars in place\nStore valuables out of plain sight\nDo not prop open exterior doors\nDo not hold open exterior doors for people you do not know\nKnow who is at your front door before you open it\nWhen you take a vacation, put a temporary hold on your mail and other deliveries\nReport any suspicious behavior or incidents",
