      "verbatimText": "November 17, 2024\n\nSecurity Bulletin 11/17/24: Brandishing a Firearm\n\nUPDATE: According to AAPD, further investigation has revealed a group of University of Michigan students were threatened with a BB or airsoft gun on Sunday, not a firearm.\n\nThe Ann Arbor Police Department (AAPD) has informed DPSS of an ongoing investigation into a reported firearm brandishing incident that occurred on November 17, 2024, at approximately 1:20 a.m. in the 600 block of Oxford Road. According to AAPD, four college-aged males approached a group of University of Michigan students on a porch, attempted to provoke a fight, and one of the suspects displayed a handgun before they fled the area.\n\nAAPD has stated this appears to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community. Anyone with information is urged to contact the AAPD tip line at 734.794.6939 or email tips@a2gov.org.
