      "verbatimText": "April 8, 2020\n\n Crime Alert 2020-03: Felonious Assault\n\n-\n Alert ID:\n 2020-03\n\n-\n Alert Agency:\n UMPD (Report Number #20-1753)\n\n-\n Alert Issued:\n April 8, 2020\n\n-\n Date of Incident:\n Apr. 8, 2020 07:15 AM\n\n-\n Location:\n Nichols Arboretum, near the Peony Gardens, 1610 Washington Heights, Ann Arbor\n\n-\n Offense:\n Felonious Assault\n\nSummary: At approximately 1:30 a.m., an individual was sitting on a bench in the Nichols Arboretum near the Peony Gardens. He heard something behind him, and as he turned around, he was struck over his right eye with a glass bottle. The suspect then stuck a plastic airsoft-type pistol into the victim's neck and told him to freeze. The victim punched the suspect, knocked him to the ground, and fled. UMPD is investigating this incident.\n\nSuspect(s): Younger black male, about 5'10\" to 6′ tall. Wearing blue jeans, a red hooded sweatshirt, with a white t-shirt underneath. Two tattoos were visible on the lower part of both forearms.\n\nIf you have any information, please contact the U-M Division of Public Safety and Security at (734) 763-1131 or Dial 9-1-1\nRemember:\n\n- Close blinds at night and keep doorwall security bars in place\n- Keep rooms and apartments locked at all times\n- Apartment-dwellers should turn on exterior lights at night\n- Walk with a trusted friend or co-worker when possible\n- Trust your intuition.
