      "verbatimText": "Fraudulent Survey on Facebook\n\nThursday, 7 June 2018, 14:54\n\n\t\r\n Several students recently reported to the University of Michigan Police about a fraudulent survey request posted on the \"Ladies of UofM: Buy, Sell, Trade\" closed Facebook Group. The survey offered gift cards in return for providing personal information in a survey, claiming to be about \"sexual activity and cervical cancer.\"  \n\nIf you provided personal information or video to this survey, please contact the University of Michigan Police Department at 734-763-1131.\n\nHere are some precautions you can take to avoid being scammed or blackmailed on the internet:\n\n- Do not open attachments from people you do not know.\n\n- Use extreme caution when sharing personal information, even if the source promises confidentiality.\n\n- Never send compromising images of yourself to anyone, no matter who they are, or who they say they are.\n\n- Turn off your electronic devices and web cameras when you are not using them.\n\nMore information on how to protect yourself from cybercrime:\n\n- DPSS Online Security Safety Tips\n\n- State of Michigan Cybersecurity Assistance\n\n- FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)\n\n- National Cyber Security Alliance",
