The first three fires were located near the railroad tracks along the Huron River. A fourth fire occurred in a field area closer to the valley.\nNo injuries have been reported, and the fires were extinguished before causing significant damage.\nFire Safety Reminder\nAs temperatures rise and vegetation becomes drier, even small ignition sources can quickly ignite a grass or brush fire. The University of Michigan is a smoke-free campus. Community members are reminded to:\nAvoid using open flames, matches, lighters, or other ignition sources in areas with dry grass, leaves, or brush.\nProperly extinguish and dispose of any combustible materials in approved receptacles.\nImmediately report any signs of fire, smoke, or suspicious activity.\nAnyone with information is asked to contact the University of Michigan Police Department at 734-763-1131 or submit information anonymously through the DPSS Anonymous Tip Line at (800) 863-1355.\nUpdates will be provided as additional information becomes available.",
