      "verbatimText": "June 4, 2023\nCrime Alert 2023-2: Shooting\nAlert ID:\n2023-2\nAlert Agency:\nAAPD (Report #23-23517)\nAlert Issued:\nJune 4, 2023\nDate of Incident:\nJune 4, 2023\nLocation:\n1200 block of South University\nOffense:\nShooting\nSummary: On June 4, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the Ann Arbor Police Department (AAPD) received a report of a shooting in the 1200 block of South University. Three males were walking eastbound on the south sidewalk. A lone male was walking in the opposite direction on the same sidewalk.\nAs they passed one another, one of the males walking eastbound became engaged in an altercation with the westbound individual. The man walking westbound pulled a handgun and fired a round that struck the victim. The suspect then fled the area on foot.\nThe victim sought medical treatment at a local hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.\nSuspect: Black male, tall, wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, white shorts, and black shoes with white soles\nIf you have any information regarding this incident, please contact the Ann Arbor Police Department at (734) 794-6920\nRemember:\nIf you see something, say something.
