      "verbatimText": "Jan. 20, 2016\n\nMU to Resume Regular Operations Wednesday\n\nUniversity of Missouri officials announced that the university will be open today, Wednesday, Jan. 20 for all regularly scheduled operations. Officials warn faculty, students, staff and visitors to use caution while moving on campus as slick spots remain. Anyone driving to campus should plan ahead, leave early and allow plenty of time for travel.\n\nCurrently, roads and sidewalks have been plowed, but covered areas and slick spots remain.\n\n\"The campus is passable, but pedestrians and drivers should proceed cautiously on all pavements,\" said Gary Ward, vice chancellor of operations.\n\nJan. 19, 2016\n\nUniversity of Missouri officials have announced that classes and activities for the remainder of the evening tonight, Jan. 19, are cancelled. A decision concerning whether or not to cancel classes tomorrow will be made by 5 a.m. tomorrow morning. Only employees that are situationally critical should remain at work.\n\n\"Due to a winter weather advisory we just received for our area and out of concern for the safety of our students, staff and faculty, we have decided to cancel all classes and activities for the remainder of the evening,\" said Gary Ward, MU vice chancellor for operations.\n\nAll MU Health Care hospitals and the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital will remain open 24/7. For more information on MU Health Care, please visit http://www.muhealth.org/. The MU Student Center, Student Recreation Complex, residential hall dining facilities and select dining facilities in the MU Student Center will remain open.\n\nEmployees who are unsure of their status as to whether or not they are situationally critical should contact their supervisors.
