      "verbatimText": "Nov. 15, 2024, 5:00 p.m.\n\nOn Thursday, Nov. 14, the University of Oregon Police Department (UOPD) received two reports of an individual handing out candy on and near campus and then touching other people’s intimate body parts intentionally and without consent. This is considered sexual assault.\n\nReported incidents:\n\nNov. 14, 2024, 11:30 a.m. - A victim walking near Straub Hall reported an unknown male handed her candy and slapped her on the rear end.\n\nNov. 14, 2024, 11:40 a.m. - Another victim reported their crotch being grabbed in a similar incident while walking on Alder Street near Dave’s Hot Chicken, 1285 Alder St. This was reported to Eugene Police Department and shared with UOPD.\n\nUOPD has identified a suspect for both incidents and steps have been taken to exclude them from campus. These reported events are under investigation. If you have any information, or experienced a similar event, contact the UO Police Department non-emergency number at 541-346-2919.",
