      "verbatimText": "The University of Utah Department of Public Safety is actively investigating a forcible entry of an apartment at the 900 Court of the University Student Apartments. The incident happened on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at approximately 6:30 a.m. No physical injuries occurred, and no property was taken. Upon seeing a resident in the unit the suspect fled on foot.\n\nThe suspect is a white male, six feet tall, with an average build, between the ages of 20-30 years old, wearing a dark hoodie. He has not been apprehended.\n\nThere is a possible second suspect believed to be a female.\n\nIn response to the incident police are increasing patrols in the area and will be continuing to support those impacted.\n\nAny member of the community who may have information about the incident, or the suspect, should contact University Police at 801-585-2677.\n\nUpdates will be posted at alert.utah.edu.\n\nThis safety warning is being issued as part of the University of Utah’s efforts to provide timely notifications about serious or ongoing threats to the campus community. While it may be distressing to learn about this incident, it is being shared so you can best protect yourself.
